National High-throughput DNA Sequencing Centre
DNA sequencing provides the core data to answer many biological questions. Very recently the methods to produce sequences were revolutionised by the introduction of high throughput sequencing technologies.
The facilities at the centre enables studies of genome biology, expression analyses, biodiversity, genetics and conservation, aspects of cancer biology to mention a few. The facility can be used by all academic institutions in Denmark and internationally. Read more about the facilities.
The centre's sequencing platform was used to sequence the first complete nuclear genome of an ancient human. Read the story of Inuk and his genome.
The centre is a Core Facility at the University of Copenhagen.
